Ms. Mona Yeung

Programme Director

Mona graduated from the University of Manitoba in Canada with the Bachelor of Environmental Studies and the Master of Architecture. Her move to Hong Kong marked the beginning of her professional career development. She interned at an international practice with involvement in numerous prestigious projects and became a Registered Architect and an Authorized Person (List of Architects) in Hong Kong.

Pursuing her interest in teaching and research, she joined the University of Hong Kong’s School of Professional and Continuing Education (HKU SPACE) in 2001 and was honored with the Outstanding Teacher Award in 2009.  Aside from her current position as Senior Programme Director of Architectural Studies in the College of Humanities and Law, HKU SPACE, she is also an adjunct associate professor of the Department of Architecture, University of Hong Kong and the School of Architecture, Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Mona is an active member of the Hong Kong Institute of Architects and an External Examiner for the BEng Architecture (Hon) RIBA Part 1, University of Nottingham, Ningbo. She is a member of the Appeal Tribunal Panel and Town Planning Appeals Board appointed by HKSAR’s Chief Secretary under the Buildings Ordinance and Town Planning Ordinance respectively.

She is a water sports enthusiast, retired from competitive dragon boat racing, she now enjoys SUP, kayaking, wave surfing and recently discovered the joy of sailing.

Mr. Eddie Chan

Programme Manager

Eddie CHAN is a Registered Architect (HKIA) since 2014. He studied in Professional Diploma in Architecutura Studies in HKU SPACE and graduated in Master of Architecture in the University of Hong Kong in 2010. He has been involved design works in various scale and types, including institutional and residential, both in Hong Kong and UK architectural and interior firms. As a passionate young architect,  he is fond of interesting ideas and eager to participate in local and oversea community engagement projects. In 2016, he joined HKU SPACE Architectural Studies Subject Group and pursuit of excellence in Architecture and Education.

Mr. Joshua Roberts

Programme Manager

Joshua Roberts is an educator, designer, and editor based in Hong Kong. After receiving a BA in Architecture from Rice University and studies at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and Archeworks, he received a Master in Architecture from the Harvard University Graduate School of Design. As a designer and artist, he has been exhibited in the US, Korea, China, Hong Kong, and Europe. He has served as a design critic and Assistant Professor at various institutions in Hong Kong, Singapore, Korea, Europe, and the US. He was coordinator of Year 1 for the BA in Architecture at City University HK and Chu Hai College as well as serving as the co-coordinator of the first year BAUS 
(Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies) programme at HKU and director of the HKDI DESIS Lab (Design for Social Innovation and Sustainability). Currently he is an Architectural Studies Programme Manager at HKU SPACE

Mr. Lawrence Leung

Programme Manager

Lawrence is a registered architect in UK and HK and he has practiced with a number of international practices in Hong Kong, Rotterdam and London since 2002. His projects include the Beijing CCTV & TVCC headquarters, XRL West Kowloon Terminus, Midfield Airport Terminal and Forum at Exchange Square. Apart from practice, Lawrence was Part III coordinator and mentor to guide architectural assistants through their Professional Practice and Management in Architecture Professional assessment at corporate office. He has also been tutoring design studio and giving architectural lectures on professional practice and building technologies in different universities and institutions. Aside from architecture, he enjoys good sports and great food.

Ms. Judy Mok

Executive Assistant

Judy graduated from Bachelor of Arts, the City University of Hong Kong. She joined Architectural Studies subject group of HKU SPACE as Executive Assistant since 2020. She is currently responsible for the Professional Diploma in Architectural Studies.

Ms. Mien Lau

Executive Assistant

Mien has over 15 years of experience in the administration of Education Industry; she worked as an Administration Office for an accredited CPD course provider of The Law Society of Hong Kong since 2002 and has been participated in organizing for over 1,000 CPD/CPT/CFA courses, events and conference. She joined HKU SPACE as an Executive Assistant in the Chinese Language and Culture Programme Team in 2010 and redeployed to Architectural Studies Programme Team in 2014.

Ms. Paula Lee

Executive Assistant

Paula graduated from Bachelor of Arts, the University of Hong Kong. She joined Architectural Studies subject group of HKU SPACE as Executive Assistant since 2012. She is currently responsible for the Part-time Architectural Studies programme and Advanced Diploma in Tree Management and Conservation programme.

Ms. Sandra Ho

Executive Assistant

Sandra graduated from Bachelor of Arts, the University of Hong Kong. She joined Architectural Studies Subject Group of HKU SPACE as Executive Assistant since January 2017. She is currently responsible for the Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Architectural Studies programme.
