Design for Quality Living in an Aging Community
Development Department is responsible for managing all redevelopment, architectural, interior design, refurbishment and property management projects of over 60 premises of the Welfare Council. With the funding support from the government and donors, a number of redevelopment projects will be implemented in coming years. We are strive for promoting a quality living environment with pioneer design and construction in an aging community, a team head for an innovative and user-friendly design solutions in our Social Service Buildings, Community Service Centres and Residential Care Homes in Hong Kong, Macau and China is formed.
We are now inviting passionate, people-oriented and creative persons, who are committed in providing quality professional services to our service users to join us.
Two-year contract will be offered as a start and may change to permanent status, subject to satisfactory performance after the first contract.
Responsibilities
-
Responsible for project planning, scheduling, tendering and contract administration;
-
Carry out site inspections and monitor site works progress to ensure timely delivery and compliance with relevant Statutory Requirements / design standards;
-
Develop innovative and user-friendly design solutions for different social service projects (majoring in architecture or interior design is preferred);
-
Conduct feasibility study, conceptual design and design presentation to users.
Requirements
-
Degree/Higher Diploma in Architectural Studies, Interior Design or related disciplines;
-
3-5 years’ experience in design and project coordination; (Candidate with less experience will be considered as Assistant Project Designer)
-
Proficiency in using Sketchup, AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign and Microsoft Office;
-
Keen on design, passionate, self-motivated, independent and responsible; and
-
Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
